this is probaly the wrong thing to put it under but Deviant Art really doesn't give us a sketchbook choice so i have no real choice.

Anyways a tree i draw after reading a art book on basic drawing. This is all from my head with no refreance to any trees.

lol thanks but its also how you do it. I used a HB pencil and just add and remove pressure on the pencil. It still needs work to look natural though.

Either way, I always have trouble doing the leaves. In the end it looks like a little childs drawing because of the leaves.

leafs are done with darker and lighter shading. Choose a light sorce or multiple ones and then add shading accordingly. Its more advance then that but thats what i did for my tree.

Really thank you! I'll have to try that some time in my sketch book. The little random creatures in there need some sort of senery to accompany them!

lol im sure you will due just fine with trees. Its all tech. thats what drawing is mostly. I mean some from immagination but mostly if you understand the tech of something you cand draw it.
